About me

My name is Juliette, and I am a fully qualified and experienced Art Psychotherapist (also known as an Art Therapist). I offer a safe, confidential and therapeutic space to any individuals seeking support with mental, physical and emotional difficulties. I use a person-centred, psychodynamic approach within therapeutic sessions and advocate the use of art making and creativity, as a valuable tool for meaningful expression and connection.

Information about Art Therapy

Art Psychotherapy  is a psychological and creative form of therapy which uses art as a way of communicating  and expressing thoughts and feelings. Art Therapy differs from other forms of therapy, as it uses a framework developed  between the client, therapist and created image / object, to support both the therapeutic process and therapeutic relationship.

Art Therapy can support people across a range of ages, from children to adults and can  be particularly helpful for those seeking to share past and present life events in visual form, when these may be too difficult to articulate with words. In addition, no previous experience, training, or expertise is required to participate in the sessions, as creative expression is encouraged and supported for everyone, regardless of their age or ability.

In its simplest form, Art Therapy may facilitate  deeper understanding and integration of lived experience, so that individuals may feel more able to develop coping skills and can use this insight as a further springboard for personal  growth, understanding, and self-healing.
