As an Integrative Psychotherapeutic Counsellor and registered member for British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy I can offer an individualised style of therapy to young people and adults. From a person centred perspective, I will listen and explore with you what is troubling, drawing on various approaches to psychotherapy. I offer a safe space of reflection, sensitive conversing, thinking and feeling which enables clients to understand their structure of self, relationship patterns and blocks in wellbeing.

My understanding personally and theoretically allows me to be able to sit person to person providing an environment for growth. I work at the young person’s or adult’s pace and enable them to see more clearly where presenting issues started, allowing them to be reconciled. Creatively, we’ll work together to bring about changes and move forward. This approach encourages autonomy and authenticity. It enables clients to embrace the complexity in their ‘mess’ and continue to learn about themselves. Everyone has a unique experience with some common ground.

I work sensitively, tracking client’s emotional temperature, helping people with:

Depression Anxiety Neurodiversity

Self harm
Suicidal ideation Stabilisation resources

People I have worked with learn about themselves and their relationships. They learn how to deal with adversity and develop more empathy. Subsequently, they are happier in themselves and achieve personal goals.

Primarily, my focus has been on attachment and the absolute necessity of a reliable, non judgemental, congruent and empathetic relationship. Where clients feel safe enough to explore their experiences and feelings.

I work with adults, young adults, young people and parents.

If you are a parent, looking for counselling for your child and would like to speak to me first, we can have an initial consultation so I can get your perspective. Thereafter, if you feel you would like me to meet your child, we can meet and they can decide if counselling with me is right for them. Or, if they are over 16 years old and you would prefer them to speak for themselves straight away, then they can have the initial session.

If you are a young person looking for counselling, please contact me and we can discuss how to move forward.

If you are an adult that would like therapy, please contact me for an initial consultation.

I hold a Diplomas in:

IOYO Level 7 in Children and Young Person Counselling – studying

CPCAB Level 4 Integrative Therapeutic Counselling

CPCAB Level 5 Counselling Trauma

Advanced DBS certificate

As well as my private practice, I work as an Adult and Young Persons Therapist with a local counselling agency. I have worked with young people in various roles for over 14 years.

Finding a counsellor can be a daunting process. The counselling relationship is collaborative and it’s important that you or your child feels comfortable with me.
