As a humanistic counsellor, I believe that human beings seek to grow and move towards a deeper understanding and acceptance of themselves and others. The process of developing a therapeutic relationship is central to the work. This is based on my belief that much healing, growth and understanding occurs in this setting and in the relationship.
In other areas of my work as a counsellor, I have had experience of working as a therapist in a psychotherapy department, counsellor for a youth counselling organisation, EAP’S and private practice
My experience over the last 20 year has covered a wide range of issues: Mental Health, depression and anxiety, adoption, trauma, abuse, bereavement, loss, sexuality, stress and relationship problems.
My practice is informed by various training, these qualifications listed below. This diversity gives me the ability to work flexibly and creatively according to the needs of the client or clients.
I continue to study and attend training days on a regular basis. I receive regular clinical supervision
