Hello, I am Ginny. I have been working for a range of organisations who support people during difficult and challenging times in their lives for over 30 years and have been counselling since 2017.
Have you noticed how psychological issues not only affect how we think and act but also affect our bodies and our well-being? How worries and concerns can make us feel physically sick and unable to cope with our lives on a day-to-day basis.
Some time ago I discovered the power of mindfulness and movement to gain respite from personal challenges and to support me to be more resilient in my path through life. I now work integratively and have incorporated some of these past experiences into my work as a counsellor. I also work as a therapist using bodywork, yoga teaching, spirituality and mindfulness coaching and can offer these practices to support you with your journey to healing.
Counselling and how I can help you.
I have been counselling clients, in both Yorkshire and Wiltshire, using Person Centred, Somatic and Trauma informed approaches.
What does this mean for you? As a Person-Centred counsellor I can work in a way that is right for you, taking the time that you feel you need to talk, reflect, and learn about the ways you would like to make change. I can support you whilst you explore the areas of your life that you wish to transform, come to terms with or just move forward to a place where you feel more able to cope.
As a somatic therapist, I can help you to look at and gain an understanding about how life’s challenges can affect your body, your mind and your well-being and how exploring these can lead to sustainable change.
Using Trauma informed theories and practises I can help you to explore how deeply held pain and feelings can still hold you back in life, and to find sustainable change for both your psychological and physical well-being.

Testimonials from clients:
“Working with Ginny has helped me to not only notice what was happening in my life and how it was affecting me, but also to help me think through different strategies to cope with life’s challenges.
I can honestly say that I walked a little bit lighter each time I came away from a counselling session. Her support has been invaluable during a difficult time”. M, Chippenham.
“Ginny’s understanding, knowledge, patience and support were awesome. Over a three-month period, Ginny helped me navigate a journey of self-discovery, self-awareness and renewal. She helped me get free of my “box” by coming to terms with my past. She also taught me ways to manage the “down times” which would still inevitably occur in the future.
I am incredibly grateful to Ginny for helping me, my time spent with her as my therapist has helped me to find a way to a new, happier way to live.” R, Chippenham.
