I offer 1:1 psychological therapies for adults and young people. I aim to provide a warm, non-judgemental and supportive space in which my clients can feel safe to explore their difficulties and make changes. I have worked in various different roles in the NHS for over 12 years and started an independent practice in 2019.
Through my NHS work, I have extensive experience of helping people who have long-term physical health conditions, particularly Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS/ME), Fibromyalgia and chronic pain. I also have experience working in services for people with neurological conditions, diabetes, stroke and cancer, as well as mood and anxiety problems, sleep problems, and eating disorders.
My main therapeutic approach is Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), which is recommended in the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) guidelines for many common mental health difficulties. I also use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), Narrative Therapy and Mindfulness, and will integrate ideas from these different approaches to best meet your needs.
