I am a qualified counsellor with around 10 years of experience working therapeutically with children and young people. I offer one to one, face to face or online counselling for adults, children and young people from the age of 5 upwards. Sessions are typically 50 minutes but may be shorter for young children. I offer both short and long term counselling.

I work in a Trauma-Informed way, with a focus on creating an environment and relationship that is safe, compassionate and non-judgmental, allowing the client to tell their story in whatever way they choose and at their pace. This may be through talking, creative interventions or therapeutic play. I also offer outdoors therapy and animal-assisted therapy at a centre near Melksham, and walk and talk therapy around the Chippenham area.

Experience working with: trauma, anxiety, self-harm, attachment, identity and self-exploration, stress, family and peer relationships, bereavement and loss, feelings of anger and powerlessness, low mood and low self-esteem. I have both personal and professional experience of autism and many years’ experience working with autistic people and neurodivergent people.

 Next steps

Research shows the quality of the relationship formed in counselling is key to relieving distress/making progress in therapy and so it is important to find a counsellor – and an environment – that feels right for you, or your child.

I offer a free, no-obligation 20-minute initial session where we can talk about what you would like from counselling and you can ask any questions you may have. This can be done face to face, over the phone or over zoom.
